DAVID RODWIN is a writer/director, manager/producer, and social media and crowdfunding strategist with a foundation in storytelling in almost every medium imaginable.

David founded the NY-based Raw Impressions, Inc. and its film division RIPFest through which he produced 170 ten-minute musicals and 60 short films by Oscar-winning producers, Emmy-winning composers, and Tony-winning actors, not to mention scribes like the head writer of The Daily Show. The Sundance Institute acknowledged his work with RIPFest, by inviting him to participate in their 2005 Producer’s Conference.

David started his career writing, composing and performing in 10 evening-length theatrical pieces from the one-man, hyper-opera VIRTUAL MOTION which toured over 20 venues in the U.S. & Europe to the large-scale, avant-garde musical WARNING!: eXplicit Material workshopped by Disney.

A winner of The Moth StorySLAM, David’s 5th solo show, TOTAL NOVICE, is being turned into a feature film. And his first book, NEVER MEET YOUR IDOLS, about spending a month living with Spalding Gray, will be published at the end of the year.

David has worked on the writing staffs of scripted TV shows on CBS, TNT and Disney. David also wrote, produced and directed the written and video content for the first year of Fox TV's iPad apps for the shows American Dad and Glee.

David has also directed commercial and corporate videos for companies from Microsoft to new tech startups featured at CES.

And, of course, his Masters in Music from Northwestern and his degree in politics from Princeton University prepared him perfectly for such a career trajectory.
